Ordering

If I have a promotion code, where do I enter it for my discount?
In the shopping cart, you will see a box labeled “Promotion Code.” This is where you enter your code. You must click the "Apply to Order" button for any discounts or adjustments to be made to your order.
Please note, only one promotion code or promotion gift card may be applied per order.

I have a promotional gift card. How do I redeem it?
You may redeem your promotional gift card by entering the 17-digit number printed on the back of the card in the promotion code box at the Shopping Cart.
Please note that not all products on the Dale and Thomas website are eligible for this promotion. There is also a limit of one promotion code that may be used per order.

How can I find out the status of my order?
Click the My Account link located at the top right corner of this webpage. You may be prompted to log in. From this page, you will be able to view a list of recent orders. Online access to order status and tracking numbers is coming soon.

How do I cancel my order?
Once your order is placed, we will not be able to cancel the order.

Can I change the delivery address after my order is placed?
Once your order is placed, we will not be able to change the delivery address.

Can I change the delivery date of my order after it is placed?
Once your order is placed, we will not be able to change the delivery date, even if you specified a delivery date in the future.

When will my credit card be billed?
Your credit card will be billed at the time that your order is placed. If you select a future delivery date, your order will be billed to your credit card when you place the order.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Is it safe for me to use my credit card on your site? Is it secure?

Why did I get charged Tax?
We are required by law to collect sales tax on all orders shipped to New Jersey. Sales Tax is applied to both the merchandise and shipping totals.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you ship outside the United States?
Unfortunately, we are not able to ship outside of the United States. We want your popcorn to arrive fresh and we cannot guarantee that it will live up to our highest quality standards if it is shipped these distances.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii or the Virgin Islands?
Unfortunately, we currently are unable to ship to Alaska, Hawaii or the Virgin Islands. We want your popcorn to arrive crunchy and delicious, and we cannot guarantee that it will live up to our highest quality standards if it is shipped these distances. If you live in Alaska, Hawaii or the Virgin Islands we recommend you visit friends or relatives in the contiguous 48 states and have them order some popcorn for you for delivery during your trip!

Can you ship to my P.O. Box?
We ship your order via UPS. UPS cannot deliver to Post Office boxes.

Can you ship to an APO or FPO address?
Unfortunately we are not able to ship to APO or FPO addresses. We want your popcorn to arrive crunchy and delicious, and we cannot guarantee that it will live up to our highest quality standards if it is shipped these distances.

Can you ship to school dormitories?
UPS requires a physical delivery address, which for schools is often different than the postal address. Please check with your student's school regarding the proper delivery address and internal routing information for UPS shipments on campus.

Who is your shipping carrier?
All Dale and Thomas Popcorn orders are shipped via UPS.

How much do you charge for shipping?

When will my order ship?
Most orders received before 12:00 noon EST will ship the same day. Orders after 12:00 noon EST will ship the next business day.
Certain products may not ship the same day. Please see the individual product page for any product-specific shipping disclaimers.
You will receive an email confirmation to let you know when your popcorn has shipped.

Can I specify an exact delivery date for my order?
Yes! When checking out, you will be able to specify a delivery week or an exact delivery date for your order.

Does UPS require a signature for delivery?
Business addresses do require a signature, but not necessarily from the recipient whose name is on the box. Anyone in the building is able to sign for the package.
Residential addresses do not require a signature but if there is no one at the home to accept the package it is up to the UPS driver's discretion if he/she feels comfortable leaving the package outside the address. UPS will make three delivery attempts before returning the package to Dale and Thomas Popcorn.

Can I ship to more than one address on one order?
Yes, you can ship to as many people as you would like on one order.

Can you ship chocolate products during warm weather?
From May through September, we have special shipping rules around our chocolate popcorn gifts. Gifts containing chocolate popcorn are required to ship UPS 2nd Day (or faster) and will only ship Monday - Wednesday for delivery Wednesday - Friday. For a Tuesday delivery date, you must select UPS Next Day shipping. We also provide Saturday Delivery services.

Popcorn Products

How do I keep my popcorn fresh?
Following are some recommendations for helping to extend your popcorn's freshness:
- Do not open the package until you are ready to eat it.
- Do not expose the product to adverse weather conditions (rain, sleet, snow, etc.).
- Once opened, store popcorn in an airtight container at room temperature.
- Do not refrigerate, reheat or microwave any of our products. Generally, our popcorn will remain fresh about 60 days in the right environment (away from humidity and heat).

I have allergies...are your products free from peanuts, tree nuts, nut oils, soy and/or dairy?
While only some of our products actually contain nuts or nut products, all of our products are produced in a facility that uses milk, soy, peanuts and tree nuts. We cannot guarantee that any of our products are completely free from cross contamination during cooking, processing or packaging.

Is your popcorn kosher?
Yes! All Dale and Thomas Popcorn products are certified Kosher OU-D.

Is your popcorn gluten free?
Yes! Popcorn and other corn varieties are naturally free of gluten. Gluten is a protein typically found in barley, wheat, rye, their cross-breeds (triticale), and by-products such as flour and MSG. While none of our products contain any of these ingredients and popcorn is a gluten-free grain, we had a FDA-affiliated lab analyze our popcorn because we are very concerned about our customers. The test results found no traces of gluten using the AOAC/CODEX Certified R5 method at a 20 parts per million accuracy level.

Can I replace one flavor in a combo tin with another or substitute different bags of one flavor for another?
Unfortunately, we cannot make up personalized combinations at this time. But we would like to suggest our very popular Classic Caramel and Cheese Combo in the 2 and 3.5 Gallon Gift Tins, or This and That Combo in our 6-Pack Sampler.

Can I get a refill for a tin I purchased previously?
Yes and no. While we do not specifically offer refills for our tins, you can order our Six-Pack or Twelve-Pack Samplers and use it to refill your tin.
